Her-o's

Dear my Her'oes,

When many of us think of a hero,

they think of someone who is beyond,

someone who leads without fear,

someone is larger than one,

But what I believe,

a hero stands for more than one can see,

More then what they have achieved,

You are hero's because of who you choose to be,

and mostly, for what you mean to me,

Mom,

In my eyes, you are a Her'o that is beyond,

You make the most of the life you were given,

find an adventure in every day,

never dull, always living,

you make everything seem like it's okay,

Your always there when it matters,

A Tinkerbelle to any problem,

and especially when my heart shatters,

you show me the possibility in midst of the grim.

You are the stilts to my height,

the reason I am alive today,

You are a Her'o I strive to be like,

Because to me you are beyond brave.

My Sister Hayley,

When I look at you,

I see a Her'o of Strength,

Its from the people who you choose,

and the energy you serve them to every length,

It's your courage and love that shows through,

Its your endurance during challenging times while Justin's overseas,

its the guidance you show your son,

and the authenticity of who you want to be,

its the support you gave me when I was young,

And the advice you continue to give,

You are my Her'o because of who you've become,

no matter how close or far you live.

To my friend Sammi,

You are my Her'o of light,

Because you have been through more than enough,

your spirit grows only stronger through every fight,

and you make it out showing more love,

You radiate power from growth,

finding who you are from within,

You are a Her'o from what you know,

Because you are accepting the way you deserve to live.

To my Best Friend Kami,

You are a Her'o of Overcoming,

Always chasing, and never settling,

The nature of someone becoming,

Never stopping from discovering your dream,

You have built yourself back together,

despite the power of others,

You are a large reason I am writing this letter,

You are beauty and growth despite everything that hurts.

To my Roommate Elizabeth,

You are my Her'o of Growth,

Continuously overcoming,

More than you'll ever know,

because only the tip of your potential is showing,

Between, your positivity found in hard situations,

Or your encouragement and level minded advice,

You have expanded beyond your foundation,

and I am grateful for having you in my life.

To my Sister in Law Alana

You are my Her'o of Determination

With unlimited dreams and drive along the way,

never short of motivation,

You wake up to live the best of each day,

You persisted through years of yearning,

studied your way to where you want to be,

you have an aspiration to continue learning,

your determination seems Her'oic to me.

To my Grandma (Also my Best Friend)

Grandma, you are my Her'o of life,

A physical angel watching me grow over the years

the match to light what make life so bright,

The woman who walks across traffic without any fear,

you are fiercely patient and always have ears to listen,

a collector of creativity and as intuitive as it gets,

The proud grandma of eight grand children.

a beautiful woman who lives a life that we will never forget.

Lastly,

Dear Myself,

You are a Her'o in your Own Making,

not a perfect craft or creation,

You strive to live on you own terms, never faking,

following your heart through constant rationalization,

you are beautiful, kind and courageous,

Persistent and diversifying,

Sometimes a little dramatic and outrageous,

never too crumbled from going out there and trying,

you believe the best in humans,

and try be more positive everyday,

you take some losses and make some wins,

and find different reasons to celebrate,

you dare to be the best version of yourself,

and show sincerity and kindness to others,

you are always working on a better mental health,

and remembering life is better with one another,

I am proud of the person you have been,

and the person you are becoming each day,

How else should you classify heroism,

Then being the person who fights to stay.

You are a Her'o who is more than enough,

who chooses to fill the world each day with love.
