She was beautiful…

No…

She IS Beautiful…

Because true beauty comes from within…

Regardless of the texture of her skin…

It all started, about two in a half decades ago…

In a land I really can’t say that I know… but She does, because it’s Her Home.

She was promised to a man. She didn’t want to belong to his hand so She declined his proposal…

She quickly learned that wasn’t the way things were suppose to go.

The situation rapidly and vehemently escalated. His family was at her throat, Her family shamed her for her rebellious revolt of their tradition…

Then it happened…

She felt liquid on her face, her arms, her neck and her breasts… her hands…

Then the burn pronounced her fate… she was on fire without the flames…

But the result to her body was the same.

She’s screaming…

She’s melting…

Her dignity is turning to ash…

Looking for help she grabs for her mother, But she’s pushed away and called a disgrace…

Her mother looks on as she’s losing the form of her face…

Two in a half decades forward…

She’s in a land that I still can’t say that I know…

But She does, because it’s Her Home.
