Her Butterflies
a poem inspired by nature and living
Butterflies were her only trusted friends
Fluttering about her, without any ends
Graceful creatures of beautiful hue
Their companionship was always true
As she wandered along the garden path
The butterflies followed, with no hesitation
Their wings beating to a joyous tune
Their beauty shining in the afternoon
They flew around her, carefree and light
Guiding her towards the path that’s right
Making her heart full of wonder
As she followed their graceful flutter
Butterflies were her only trusted friends
Their loyalty never seemed to end
She knew that they would always stay
Leading her forward, day after day
And so she continued on her quest
With the butterflies as her guest
Their friendship, a bond beyond compare
Her beautiful butterflies, were always there.

I met Jason when I was five years old. I could say that I loved him from the moment I saw him. He was so handsome to me and I felt in awe by his presence. When they introduced him as the new kid in school, I wanted to be his friend right away. I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember his smile and how he didn't seem shy. He appeared confident and ready to learn. I waved at him and said "hello," before anyone else could even say a word. He sat next to me, and I asked him if he wanted to be friends. He looked so happy as he said, "Yes!"
