Epiphany – what would be changed if...?

Her mind went back to the confusions.

Intellectual query swimming in past memories

Life, as it unfolded in expanded history…

Then, culture and treatment versus reality and rhetoric

Quality of life and living versus placement in space.

Then, personal effects in marriage, divorce

And the reality of promise, and swearing oaths, to act… better.

Then, war and crime, allowance and subterfuge

Confusion and questions surrounding all-peace logic

All self -analysis, facts versus fiction.

Then, to this, a 2nd imprinting

If, then.. why then not?

Not, being…

Money and citizenship, power and servitude

Under an umbrella opened, a Matrix of false Being

Believed real, because wished real?

One left the testosterone

The aggression partners outside

To go in and offer, changed, these ‘thens’

After a restful parlance with a special coffee

In a strange, yet peaceful conversation

Within such a friendly womb, an open invitation.

First, haltingly, then more freely

Gazing through an ever-opening window

Into one’s soul and heart, to be moved

Awakened, enhanced

Into more peaceful realms...

Not necessarily found

Just... outside this coffee house door.

That missing, within formless mists pulsing.

Flighty at best, unless aggressively sought

Focused, encapsulated

All within one’s own private metaphor.
