I think I was born with a broken heart
It’s too full of feelings that pull me apart.
And when I look closer and peer inside
I see millions of hearts along for the ride
And everyone tells me it’s good that I feel
But most days I just don’t see the appeal
You see, I’m not sure they quite understand
All the things that feeling these feelings demand
But occasionally I find another heart just like mine
And I don’t feel quite so alone for a time.
So, we feel as one, hand in hand
Helping each other bear the demand
As we take in the world we find more broken hearts
And I know that together we won’t fall apart.
