Heart in the Darkness

The lost memories

I was waiting waiting

In the deserted beach of thousands of people

strangers and friends

Laughing and shouting

Sharing our own coconut palms of shade

For years and years

Never thought of going back as the ceaseless crash of waves with the sand

What?

What was the reason?

Yes I know.

Said my repenting conscience

Did she too.

The endless tears in the dark evening under twilight

You have gone.

Forever

The waiting wave has erased the footprints on the sand leaving behind

Nothing at all

Nothing.... Nothing

But the foot prints materialized before my salty eyes

In a flash

I turned back

when the darkness covered

The beach.
