Heart Dance

written when I was diagnosed with two heart arrythmias...

By Shana MariePublished 4 years ago 1 min read

There is poetry, I must confess

In all the steps of life

It's like a dance, though clumsy, yet

We dance with all our might.

Step, step stumble bow

Reset and step again

Pitter patter go our hearts

We shall rest not till the end.

Beginning slowly, but with hearts full

We dip and bob to heart's delight

Careful now we know not how

The dance may end this night.

Step, step stumble bow

Reset and step again

Pitter patter go our hearts

We shall rest not till the end.

Feaful and tearful our world spins

Skipping and spinning about

But cheerful is there, a steadying hand

To balance this dancer out.

Step, step stumble bow

Reset and step again

Forgive me now, but dance I shall

This dance has just begun.
