healing vision of summer

midnight elegy for a lost love

My silk of expectations is too thin

I measure it, I cut, I thread the needle.

I will endure the pain of grievance pins,

I'll mute my soul, I will unlearn to tweedle

and I will sew my summer solstice dress.

I'll keep my flower garland at the ready.

I no longer have the pressure to confess

that I am no longer your beloved lady…

I will attach regret as veiling lace

to subtle sadness of my regal crown

and I'll remake dark velvet of the space

Yet, in the best of my seduction gowns…

I'll gather diamonds of my tears on a string

and walk into my summer from my spring… 😊
