Can I overcome this? Will it get any better?

I’m a strong woman healing in my journey.

Licking my wounds and letting go

Healing is being able to breath without fear

Taking a breath, breathe, let it go

I now feel powerful to have overcome the abuse.

Healing means to be a survivor, and a strong woman.

Leaving problems alone, not feeling the hurt any longer

Healing is overcoming your fears and pain.

To allow someone into your heart and not

Let past pains come between your relationships.

Healing is shedding a tear,

Letting go, righting the wrongs,

Knowing you are healed.

No one can take advantage of me; my life is mine to live.

No more shame and guilt.

A success that I was able to survive.

Healing is hope that one day

No one will suffer from violence

Of any kind.

I am beautiful inside and out

I control myself and my life.

No one will EVER take that from me again
