“Is for all kinds of broke”

“Healing”

I’ve learned it’s better to live life than to let life live you.

Been where I needed to water my flowers,

but I couldn’t even water myself.

Being sick of oneself constantly, forgetting when I know what’s tight.

Needing the shoulder of another just to get right.

Failing on my darkest night, not showing up for my brightest day.

Should this eclipse all that I have done,

Could there be more for me to become?

An afterthought, of self-intervention. I’ve been working on myself a while,

don’t mean I’m too proud to say help, especially when appointments flop,

reschedule, or get dropped.

Doesn’t mean I don’t pray cuz I do it silent and absentmindedly.

Just don’t expect me to follow none before you blindly.

I give you all my trust quietly, so please don’t mind my sobriety.

I do my best, not to get lost in the every day,

Meanwhile I’m struggling to pinch one more Friday.

Take it up with the program that is broke,

one day, let’s hope, they get it right silently.

With love, faith and hope,

I will survive through any kind of woke.
