Heal with Trees

Spend time with trees and let your stress diminish

By Seema PatelPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

We evolved in forests,

among trees.

Our beings love

the soothing lullabies

the wind sings

as it passes through the canopy.

Our eyes love the greenery,

our lungs need

the rush of fresh air.

The skin delights

in dappled shade.

Nostrils are pleased

by the blossoms.

The fruits

tickle our tongues.

Trees are our true friends.

Plant, preserve—

spend time with them.

Don’t disregard them.

You are breathing

on this Earth

because the plants

make sure of it.

Make the resolve

to break free

of soulless places—

and spend time

in the woods.

In the spirit of

Thoreau and John Muir,

they will calm

your burdened soul.

They are antidotes

to your stresses.
