Heal My Heart

My heart is cold and sad

It feels like pain has gripped it

It looks like rot consumed it

I need help bringing warmth back

Into my beautiful and sweet heart

So, I pray that God

Connects to me directly

And pumps love, light and warmth

Back to me

Make my heart burst with excitement and laughter, Lord

I want God in my eyes

And life in my step, once more

Because I am sad Lord

I was never taught how to take care of my heart,

I need your help to understand her

So please help me

Know and support her safely

I wish to be whole again
