hide and speak.

you find me,

forgetting i'm not lost and i don’t need saving.

i am authentic at any cost

except myself.

definition only applies from the inside

so they can paint me

how they like.

like i still got it,

some model qualities.

my energy talks

and it gets loud.

i came out scrEAMING

i never stopped.

and i don’t plan to now

so much

that i sleep on the rooftop

like its a soap box.

it doesn’t make me popular,

but it gets my point across.

and my horse isn’t high.

he rides a phony

and for all i cared

right into the sunset.

cause he doesn’t get it,

but i do.

and i forgive him

but i have other trails

i need

to off to for now.

i learned that lesson

a few times now,

long before him,

to say

no a lot sooner

and mean every bit of it.

This is a powerful piece. The raw honesty really comes through, like when you talk about not caring what others think.
