never stops the balance

the justice

the watching everything

always gawking at

what isn’t there

heavy on the evening

when people are

hiding in the shadows

from what

nobody knows

feeling distant i

smile and nod

tell me i am

wrong

that i

don’t know

what i

mean

what i am

seeing

my eyes do

not deceive

me

open scene

unscripted acrobat

words working on me

only performing

all for me

it all is

miner

as if it was

golden

like heavy metals

unmalleable

in the heat

the thick of it

wrapped around every

inch

where

i am not

allowed to

be loud

but i stay

vocal
