"have you tried meditation?"
when your head is not the safest place to be

silence is not holy. or golden. it
is the place where doubts and
lies come to sing, to nest, to grow;
either you're incubator or the host.
nuance gets no foothold;
compassion gets the boot. in
every pause, breath, or beat, a litany of ruin.

I feel exactly this same dread when I'm asked to meditate to cope with mental health. Why at my darkest moments would I want to be alone with my brain? Nope. Not for me. I'm saving this to come back to the next time someone says it lol
Amen and amen. "where doubts and lies come to sing, to nest, to grow" -- a terrifying mantra.
