Have you become a tyrant?

like a singing bird

By Kisama Riyo Published about a year ago 1 min read

The day the black clouds flew in the dark clouds threatening

to drown the earth above me and the thunder was my news of rejection

So I said: O heart, isn't it time to repeat the oath and repeat

Like a bird in the high sky and be like it on the tune like a singing bird

Our cries and hearts today in my sorrows are approaching me trembling

And what is in my soul of happiness and joy has come to my heart is renewed counted

So let me be, O people, every year I return to my reading anew

I wash the bird with drops of dew, the melody of my patience and I am alone for his glory

He was like a nightmare to me in my sleep and in the squares a paved road

And life was to me a mirage and an illusion and my heart became a singer before me

Did life tell you about a monster that God made for my land, corrupting

So he lit a fire in the streets, blazing and spreading like lightning, united?

And made the heart almost break from its sadness, so life refused to be anything but miserable

And made the people in the free homeland slaves to corrupt masters

And God made me resist the occupier and be a controlling fire over him

So do I have a weapon from the collar of truth that will be an eternal memory for me

With which I can fight those who planted thorns and closed my path and every outlet?

My dear people, let your voices rise in chanting the Takbir

And say: Death to those who declared on earth that they have become agents of a displaced enemy?

If the clouds shrink in on themselves and become threatening to the clouds

Tell them: God did not create you except to serve me, so I became your master?
