Hauntings

You haunt me in the days

You haunt me in the nights

You haunt me in my wake

You haunt me through those eyes

***

Eyes that stare so deep

Eyes that seem so pure

Eyes that cut through me

Eyes that cause my fall

***

Fallen yet unyielding,

Fallen yet so proud.

Fallen I have been.

Fallen I won’t bow.

***

Bound to cause such pain,

Bound to drown us out.

Bound to meet again

Yet time may just run out.

***

You have a great flow and love the repetition.

Is there a name for poems that have the lines in a stanza start with the same word? Really creates a flow

  • I love how poignant this was! I also loved the repetition but not really sure of the theme. Fantastic poem!
