In the twilight's gentle embrace, they rise,

From the realms of dreams, where darkness lies.

The moon, a pale lantern in the midnight sky,

Casting shadows long, as the night draws nigh.

The wind whispers secrets, ancient and old,

As the world transforms, in a shroud of cold.

Autumn leaves rustle with a spectral sound,

In the haunted woods, where spirits are found.

Jack-o'-lanterns flicker, their faces a grin,

Guiding souls lost, from where they've been.

Witches brew potions, in cauldrons of black,

As the veil thins, they'll take their track.

Children in costumes, a playful charade,

Dressed as heroes, or ghosts in a raid.

Trick-or-treat echoes through the streets,

As laughter and candy make their treats.

Ghouls and phantoms, join the throng,

As the harvest moon sings its spectral song.

In this night of wonders, both eerie and grand,

Halloween's magic sweeps across the land.

So embrace the shadows, on this night so fine,

When the mystical and mundane intertwine.

In the harvest of shadows, where dreams cascade,

Halloween's enchantment, in memories, is laid.

About the Creator

Kailee phillips

Like it says above my name is Kailee, though many of my friends call me Kit because I tend to draw foxes a lot in my spare time whenever I'm not writing up a storm. I love writing as you can no doubt tell from how I've been posting.
