Happiness — A Silent Light
The miles of silent walking Hand in hand with someone close.

Happiness is not a song,
To be sung only with instruments,
Nor is it the laughter
That echoes in a crowd.
It is a moment
Breathing softly in silence,
Found in a mother’s handmade bread,

Or a child’s unfiltered giggle.
It lives in the sunrise’s golden bloom,
Hiding in the tender touch of light,
And sometimes descends gently
In the shadows of the setting dusk
Like peace sent by God.

I didn’t find it in flashing cities,
Nor behind walls of gold,
But in the broken window of a simple hut
Where light softly peeked through.

Happiness makes no noise,
It demands no applause,
It simply walks in quietly
And lights a lamp within the heart.
I found it
One tired evening
When my child ran into my arms and said,
“Daddy, you are my hero.”

Happiness is the final sip
Of an old, forgotten coffee,
The miles of silent walking
Hand in hand with someone close.

It’s the tear
That flows gently after healing,
The prayer that pauses on lips
But is answered in the heart.
Happiness asks for no price,
No promises, no conditions,
Only a heart that knows
How to be thankful.
