Hand On My Shoulder

~

By Rowan Finley Published about a year ago 1 min read

Juicy steak steaming and creamy mash potatoes tickle my nose,

Eyes lock with intuitive, gentle excitement,

I hear Calum Scott's lyrics from "Where Are You Now" lifting.

I taste joy on my lips before I begin to devour the experience.

A calm hand rests on my shoulder and I look up with a smile.

Very cool sensory play. Would definitely like to see you produce another story using your mastery of descriptive subtlety.

Great poem! I felt like I was there. ....And now I'm hungry for steak! :P
