Half the Man

a person's true or internal mind, soul, or nature

As I sit and think about who I am,

The person who I was, looks for me.

The person I am now, fights to be seen.

The person I was, fights to be free.

Who is the monster?

Who is the beast?

Sometimes I feel that every part of me—

Is the person I shouldn't be.

Have you ever had a battle with every inner demon?

A battle that makes your inner self feel less—

A feeling that less of, makes you more of something else.

So many inner feelings...

If I can stand up to the man

I see in,

And see out of this mind.

Trapped.

Drifts away in my endless darkness,

fighting to be half the man that's half less.

Every battle lost within—

Myself.

Now can I be him that is me—

That's seen less.

The part of every soul that fights darkness...

Can I be.

That—

Me.
