Hail to the grim, marauders and kings

For power is in crowns, bangles and rings

The warlike are dead, the peaceful don’t rest

This world is failing, dying at best

The best lines are used

Good principle abused

Virtue will be the end of us all

Hail to the assassin in the dark

For glory is in hitting the mark

The courageous have passed, the cowards rule

Our world is governed by fools

The inspiration is gone

Knights turned into pawns

Virtue will be the end of us all

Hail to the thinkers, philosophers of old

For greatness is in those who are bold

The intelligent are silenced, the imbeciles speak

This world is far past its peak

The truth is not spoken

Rule by merit is broken

Virtue will be the end of us all

Willow Walker

Probably the worst poet since the Vogons, but I like to think my prose is a bit better
