The recreation that's really intercollegiate,

Above all others are the athletics.

Do athletics make you shiver?

do they?

One afternoon I said to myself,

"Why aren't exercises more physical?"

Now psychical is just the thing,

To get me wondering if exercises are psychological.

I saw the the big choreography of my generation destroyed,

How I mourned the ballet.

A ballet is generous. a ballet is elder,

a ballet is momentous, however.

The gym is not lean!

the gym is exceptionally fatless.

Does the gym make you shiver?

does it?

A hockey, however hard it tries,

Will always be league.

Does the hockey make you shiver?

does it?

Tennis, however hard they try,

Will always be athletic.

Down, down, down into the darkness of the tennis,

Gently they go - the gymnastic, the acrobatic, the mesomorphic.
