The Beauty of Unspoked Truth: a poem to my favorite book

By ZennyPublished 2 years ago 1 min read
Western domination

Between two camps, a stark divide

One thrives, while the other hides

Why the contrast, one may inquire

Courage blooms in the breath of Dali's fire

Dali's breath

Unspoken stories weave their way

Social classes formed by food and place

Silence keeps them in control and tied down

But they yearn to break free and find

Morality falters, dependence breeds

Exploitation rampant, no one heeds

Until they break free from fate's hold

Their beauty and strength remain untold

Author's note:

This is my favorite book because I agree that all nations are beautiful, even though they were once exploited simply because they were considered weak or backward. It's a shame that their beauty was muted, but we don't need almost anything to have morality scientifically - we just need to practice empathy.
