Growing Pains

A point in my life where I was working a full time schedule with a hour and a half commute both to and from work, while juggle multiple side hustles, and extra training outside of work. At the time I had recently stopped working my second job and I was questioning the decision. This writing describes the stress, both mental and physical, a slight dive into my general work history, and the hope I have as a workaholic; that all my hard work will pay off in the end. I hope that this is relatable and will inspire.

Ain't nothin' to it but to do it

Easier said than done when you goin' through it

Just woke up and already want this day to end

Like me and life just broke up, now she petty gonna tell her friends

Water in my shower colder than the blood in my veins

I know one day I'll tower over a hood that once caused pain

And they'll witness the power of a real soldier

Stronger with every struggle like a sayain

With all I juggle, just know I ain't playin', with anyone hatin'

I saw em' lurkin' and kept on workin', I ain't playin'

No days off, I'm workin' on the holidays

Far off in the future I'm goin' all the way

I used to think the world worked better with me hurtin'

Growin' pains had me strained but in my soul they set a flame

See it in my eyes and see I'm not the same

Please be wise, and know that life ain't a game

So the next time life breaks your heart

Just know, that she just makin' you stronger

And remember that it's still gonna get harder

Because she knows ho far we gotta go

And how much we gotta grow

So just know, that you gone gain from all your pain

And the next time a tear drops, it's probly just growin' pains

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
