I blessed a flower for blooming,
Nor the day I thanked the machine
That made my coffee’s brewing.
You see, every morning, every day
Things happen and things don’t
And when you realize them, my friend
You’re on a different boat.

Well-wrought! My best friend, all of us have long joked that he is both the spitting image and the spiritual doppleganger of The Dude from "The Big Lebowski". He has a saying, which I think applies to so many situations, but in the most positive way here: Such is the way of things.
