Grand Sense-tral Station

Morning Report by Thalamus

Grand Sense-tral Thalamus demands you report.

All rail lines call in, and please make it short.

Starting with line Six, please flash us your lights,

You know what the darkness does to your sight.

*

(Line Six)

Six is “THE” great line, we’re always on time,

don’t fret a bit, our imagery is prime.

*

Let’s hear from Seven, we know touch is heaven.

Please don’t make us late like deaf number Eight.

*

(Line Seven)

Seven is fine, though this bumpy ole train

might shake the rails, I’d never complain.

*

Calling to Eight, can you hear me today?

Are you on time or graciously late?

*

(Line Eight)

Eight's hearing’s intact. Please stop with the yak.

Our Union’s assessing your vile attack.

*

Calling line Nine, what do you report?

Hello, what’s cooking? We need your support.

Damn siblings, where taste and smell disagree,

Geez, Why does this always happen to me?

Nine? .... Dammit.

All stations beware, an emergency declared,

Sensory line Nine is in need of repair.

Immune gendarmes, Go! Please search and explore,

Are they fighting again? Give us the score.

*

Sel White reporting, the line is a bust.

Olfactory and tongue have lost all trust.

Smell coded a fart and labeled it cheese

Taste swallowed a loogie and gagged at the tease.

The Siblings too close to ever agree.

Line Nine has derailed. Don’t dare blame me.

*

Six here declaring a failure of sight,

everything’s blurry, and my headlights are fried.

*

Seven here, Oh God! The reflux is harsh.

Shut down this train before I barf.

*

Eight here, not listening. You're offensive at best.

I have warned you before, don't be a pest.

*

Grand Sense-tral Command abhors your reports.

Five senses asunder, with ease you distort.

I give up, I quit, I'm going back to bed.

I’m resetting the clock. You’re hurting my head.

Grand Sense-tral is closed. You’re all on your own.

When we’ll reopen remains unknown.

Line Six, fix your sight,

Seven, stop being needy,

Line Eight, it’s clear, you are nothing but greedy.

Line Nine, you are fired,

your poor taste has conspired,

to not do the job for which you were hired.
