Gossamer House

a poem

Built on past disappointments and lies,

unseen by the stranger passing by.

Constructed of whispers and hollow words.

This house, also known as “a curse”,

where no truth can see the light,

coaxing to the old schedule going on.

Rooted in alcohol and abuse ,

where free speech has no room to breathe.

What's said - dismissed,

lost in the muck, forgotten.

Surfacing after all these years.

Still, no one gives a damn.

Deaths happen all the time.

No one questions the core:

Why a life, though flawed,

earned communal respect,

while constantly judged through the same harsh lens.
