What's behind the mask?

Smile, gracefully,

Friendly but not boastful.

Converse politely,

But don't overtake the conversation.

Achieve,

But not too much or too soon.

Be a partner

But not too equal.

And never, ever

Say the quiet part out loud.

Never, ever

Say the quiet part out loud.

~

There's so much rage inside my soul,

But the world must never know.

I want to burn the whole world down,

So instead I'll burn myself.

What kind of way is that to live?

These embers in my soul will smoulder long after all the world is dust.

They'll still burn

After all is ash.

Quiet rage like silent fire! Love it!

That build-up of quiet restraint turning into burning rage is so powerful. The ending gave me chills
