Unfolding Like the Dawn
Soft gold edges the horizon, but the world is still half-asleep
Change does not arrive in thunder,
nor in the sharp break of a wave—
it comes like the first breath of morning,
a hush before the sky begins to glow.
At first, only a whisper of light,
a quiet shift from night’s embrace.
Soft gold edges the horizon,
but the world is still half-asleep.
Patience—this is how growth begins.
A slow unfurling, a steady bloom,
each moment stretching wider,
each shadow dissolving in warmth.
And then, without notice,
the sky is painted in fire,
the world alive with color,
the night is no more than a memory.
So it is with you.
You are not who you were,
though you changed one heartbeat at a time.
You are unfolding,
like the dawn.
