why must it be
That when shopping for crystals
We seek to find all the “interesting moments and areas”,
All the imperfections that make it unique.
We love and crave the moments in the minerals when nature seemingly made a mistake
Only it’s not a mistake.
It’s a moment of truth and vulnerability.
It tells of a pivotal moment in the rocks formation
When Mother Nature altered her course and the mineral had to adapt and grow accordingly.
We love these crystals and minerals,
Even more so when they decorated with inconsistencies,
Admiring their resilience, strength and energy
Yet we are so quick to look away in disgust and dismissal when we see those same Marks in growth in the people around us.
So quick to judge and reject.
Don’t we deserve to be loved for our scars, too?
