Going Out Of Prison

A Memory

There were no walls

Only cardboard sheds

Keeping the entire structure in place

Floating in the air

Flooded with rain

Reminiscent of

The Amazon jungle

Or scorched by the heat

Unlike anything else

In the weather conditions of this country

They had their temperature

Of overheated emotions

And undercooked kindness

Showed off to others

Still false in its nature

Leaving nothing for the future

Just a twisted reflection in the mirror

From the past

Now shattered into millions of stars

Viewed from afar

In the safety of my new existence

Walking hand in hand with spiders

Still lucky, nevertheless

Terrifying
