God Said "Honor Your Parents"

Dear Father,

The last time you saw us it shattered my heart

I felt like I disappointed you, like I wasn't enough

The way I live my life is very unconventional

But, there are things that I never said out of respect to you

As I've grown into an adult, I started to feel different

Hiding who I was to save face, for you & everyone

Finally I feel free to express myself

Studying the mind is a passion of mine, getting my degree and wanting to succeed

No one understands me, I guess I'm the "Lone Wolf" right

I'm so tired of choosing people to love me, friends or family

But guess what, from now on I choose myself, what's a title

I will create my own family, rejection is protection

Everyone has their own opinions, but God, he is THEE

Gratitude I express on a daily, thank you Jesus for forgiving me

I forgive myself & will move on with life, to still show love, to not think twice

God said honor your Mom & Dad

Exodus 20:12 "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land and the Lord, your God is giving you."

Always will I love you and I pray that you are proud

Love is unconditional and love is still reciprocal
