God looks like an orange
how I discovered my passion

Colors in My Mind
I opened my eyes
that summer's day
while peeling an orange
the usual way
it's bright juicy pods
glistened inside
I said to my self
there must be a God
I must have been five , four or possibly three
I recall that Sky King
blared from a TV
I felt joy unseen
this must be a dream,
while discovering colors
mostly unseen
my first mural painted
was in finger paints
the wall of the staircase
my first one complete
I then painted anything
that I could find
my very next canvas,
made of medal
so fine
it was my kiddie car
aqua blue
with it's go go pedals
so true
it soon also was coated
by an oily white brush
turpentine got me dizzy
I woke in my room
a breeze stirred the curtains
the colors in the weave
lines full of colors
light thru a screen
seeing vibrational lines
like giant guitar strings
the colors of sound
this must be my way
that I have just found
