Ride the plane equivalent of a minivan
Slumber in trailers with dirty sheets, but big windows
Northern lights unfold and undulate
Waterfalls without guardrails or names
Stone adorned with velvet lichen
Slumps into icy pools
A bison is struck by a semi
Two men butcher it beside the highway
Quick work no waste
Hand me the blade
Slick, hot skin held taut to separate
flesh from fur
A giant heart sits on clean cardboard
Ready to be claimed by Elders
The hide is too torn to save
Watch the fox circle the village
On Fridays she sits on graves
Welcoming home the spirits

In love with life and all of its foibles.

Oh. glad you shared this one. This is very vivid in its descriptions. This is great and again...the brevity. Saying so much with so few words is a skill!
Excellent poets..🦊🐺
Another great poem!
Oooo, this was so intense. I especially loved the velvet lichen!
