Go Away

I Cry

By Shirley BelkPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
IT Won't Go Away

Most of the time I can keep it together

And then there are moments like this where the pain creeps in from being so stuffed away

Go away I cry

But it lingers and I stop to leer at it and ask it what it wants from me

It is silent

So, then I must decide what to do with it. Should I hit it? Stuff it back? Cry? Laugh? What???

I go to shake it until it hurts as I do

But it is lifeless and limp, so I just throw it down again

Is it part of me? I wonder

Or is it just compilations of angry words and broken promises?

It is ugly and I don't want it

Go away, I cry

You express yourself like a small child in simple words, and in a beautiful way. Heartful and well written.
