Glitter Taffy

Moments in time

By Harper LewisPublished 11 days ago 1 min read
Glitter taffy

What is it about the warmth

of your skin on mine that makes

everything right? How much stronger

your collarbone is than mine,

strong enough for me to hold on to,

when you do that thing

that makes me need

to hold onto something, to keep me

from falling away inside my own eyes,

I get so lost in the moments, want to live forever in them,

those magical bits of time stretched out like glitter taffy,

when everything disappears

except you, loving me completely.

Sensual in such a gentle, emotional way. Beautifully written.
