Glass Tears

Poem

By Paul CrockerPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

They're creating an impossible way for pain to stop.

Falling between icy rain drops.

Appears to be hard as stone.

Yet, their hearts are alone.

I cry glass tears unaware of the feeling.

Crystal beads are a compulsion to my aching eyes.

Please find a love without breaking to lies.

Let them smash into a million parts.

I'll reattach them back to my heart.

I cry glass tears in a state of silence.

There are things I know I must see.

Am I to see them before misery comes to me?

Speaking only for this one single man.

I can't be held responsible for the things that I damn.

I cry glass tears to release the stress.

Many times I have come to a thought.

Where the happiness of love is no longer caught.

Into a world where my tears will break.

Just to make room for the ones that I make.

I cry glass tears because they are meaningless.
