I Won't Sail With Sheep

Poem

By Paul CrockerPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

On the river bank, they wait like brooding clouds, waiting to rain.

Staring at me with dark, beady eyes penetrating my soul with pain.

They look harmless but I know they want revenge for all of the jumpers.

Even angry at the dog for being a serial humper.

Onto the river we shall go.

As they follow each other as expected, I will go against the flow.

I won't sail with sheep.

I need not them with me to allow myself a soothing sleep.
