Give Them a Garden to Heal

Don’t get them addicted to drugs

By Seema PatelPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

Don’t give people pills

Wipe out the word

Like antidepressant drugs.

Give them a chair

By the raised bed.

Let them see the

Mustard and arugula blooms,

daffodils, and calendula too —

as song sparrows sing

and swallows fly overhead.

Let spring breeze,

and sunlight caress.

Let them have a nook

where they are not

targeted by psychopathy,

not exposed

to those vicious chemicals.

They will be fine.

Their inflamed body

and their assaulted mind

will sure recover.

@Seema

They will enjoy

the gift of life

away from the clutches

of paralyzing stressors

Please give them a

secret garden to heal.

I am a nurse and just getting some patients outside seem to boost mental and physical stamina. Letting take time to smell the flowers and to just relax and breathe fresh air. Good job.
