Upside down and inside out
I am a geyser that swallows
What it spits.
~
Turbulent and violently calm
The waters in my soul
Leak.
~
They poison monotonous thoughts
With dreams of recklessness,
Desire.
~
I am broken open like an acorn,
Infected with weevil larvae
And yearning.
~
I spit out what I swallow.
I blow up my prospects.
I succumb.
~
To the dream that I will sprout,
That the soil will hold me,
Not freeze me.
~
Heat churns in my gut,
Presses like tears against
My eyes.
~
There isn't time to settle
Only time
To burst.

This feels like that moment just before you know a big change is about to happen in your life, and you have no choice but to unwillingly embrace it!! Loved this SD!!
'To the dream that I will sprout, That the soil will hold me, Not freeze me." I especially loved this stanza!
Using a geyser as comparison is awesome. Personalities whose anger or frustration simmer below a surface ready to explode. Awesome... and you tossed in an acorn which to me is a symbol of life.
There's pressure under the surface of this, like boiling water. I love its eeriness and murkiness!
This is a splendid display of your command of apostrophe as a literary device. Only you could make the words "I am an acorn" seem sinister and provocative.
