Getting Ready for Winter

A Factual poem

What do I do to get ready for Winter.

These are mainly chores that I do during the late Fall

From raking and gathering the leaves that accumulate

in weird places, but done now.

Gathering what I can for compost for the Spring;

Pulling leftover weeds and trimming back roses;

Living in the South I had to adapt for some reason

some of the fall chores I did up North are not really

all that necessary in the South.

Putting away certain pieces of equipment that could be

ruined if left out if not covered somehow or way.

Sweeping out an old shed that holds leftovers from other

seasons.

So, I am ready for the Winter season for I can not wait for there is a small polar vortex coming my way.

Being from the North and also a snow person I cannot wait and I hope it occurs for several days, but I wish it would last months, but I will not count on it for where I am now.
