Genuine Smile

The simplest thing you gave me that will take me a lifetime to have again.

Every night was like a routine.

Since you came into my life, I've been...

I've been not who I am who just smile because of something.

I've been who I was back when I was 16.

Back when I was just a kid.

A kid with a genuine smile on her face.

And then you came, you started the pace.

The pace which we both know what it takes.

It has been months since you confessed.

But, still I am not yet ready to invest.

Back then, I don't want to felt this feeling.

Because I am afraid, I might just end up hurting.

But every single time you make me smile.

Every single day feels so special.

Every cheesy jokes you throw, I couldn't help but smile.

Every song you sing, I felt like you're mine.

I was broke but you mend me.

Like a broken porcelain, you cared for me

You picked up my broken pieces.

You glued them together, but you didn't notice.

You didn't know because I didn't tell you.

But still you keep telling me "I love you".

Every day, every night, every time.

And now you're the reason behind this genuine smile. ;) ^.^
