Genesis

In The Beginning

By Ray Garvin Published 5 years ago 1 min read

A world beyond color

Where rules don’t exist

Where the concept of chaos

Doesn’t plague the mind of the abyss

Stars swallow each other whole and

The night tears apart his enemies

That might dare to thrust themselves

Upon his unholy territory

Welcome to the beginning

Where the true beasts lie

Where time does lie in a coffin sealed by

Our tiny minds

These are the stories of old

The origins of the brave and bold

No man dare enter

The gates beyond this threshold

For oblivion’s kindness is to be cruel

A man can not know a thing

Once a man is consumed

By the the titan’s eternal rule

Come one come all

To the show that begat this world’s call

The beginning was always the end

And this fragment was cast off with no redemption

Until they come back once again

This garden seeded with corrupt hearts will not glisten

Only by the touch of these mighty beasts

Will we see the glory that was always meant to be

surreal poetry
