I'm sure none of you are shocked to learn that I love to reminisce. Family stories and memories are topics I just can't stay away from. This is just me, poking a little fun at myself. I hope you enjoy and even relate to it.

I'm a hoarder
I'm a hermit
I've crossed a border
Packing things away, like a marmot
I am a recluse
An accumulator
Some days I only reproduce
I am a memory renovator
I'm a loner
Some say, a packrat
The happy owner
Of all the stuff that I have
I've tried to reduce
I've tried to cut back
But, like something from Dr. Seuss
I just can't do that
So, then, I hold on
And dust off those memories
Though some are forgone
A few of them have saved me
Held me together
Safe on this journey
So, if you're still here
You'll just have to bear with me
Cause these are my stories
They're what I'm made of
A messy collected inventory
of a lifetime's, labor of love

I loved this, the rhyming, the journey you took us on, and the learning of new words! Thank you Kelli!
"I'm sure none of you are shocked to learn that I love to reminisce." I would never have guessed 😁😁😁😁 I have to confess I am hoarder as well. I keep going through stuff I have accumulated with the idea of throwing things away. I always find a reason why I might need it one day! Of course when I do throw thing out, sure enough I need it and it is gone.
Great job, Miss Kellie. I too save various items, but not quite a hoarder yet for I am also trying to declutter at times.
Nostalgia is a beauty, Kelli. Lovely poem...I just can't seem to get rid of some of the stuff I'm attached to either!
