Galactic Hunger
A surreal poem about eating mountains.
Let me at it!
.
I am starving on a celestial level.
The roar of my stomach growls
Through the cosmos.
Look at the stars and how they wobble!
.
Let me snort the mist of the mountains!
.
I cannot handle this hunger
And the way it gnaws at my bones.
There is a ringing in my ears
And everything has shifted to grey.
.
Let me swallow the rivers!
.
The thirst is unbearable.
My tongue has turned to sand.
It crunches between my teeth.
Not even the Milky Way satisfies now.
.
Let me dine on earthen soil!
.
Only this earth and this river
Will quench and fill the beast within.
So let me eat, let me carve new valleys
And eat until I'm satisfied.

Words of a world eater! Very powerful verse, here.
“So let me eat, let me carve new valleys And eat until I'm satisfied.” such a strong bit of imagery and thought provoking final lines! Really excellent, Silver!
This was delightful. Where’d the inspiration for this come from?
Sometimes, this is how I feel when I'm hungry, lol. Loved your poem!
This is great, and that pic works perfectly. Well done.
Oh, wow, this rocks. Like, love how your mind approaches subjects, themes and forms. Plus...felt like a bit like Galactus from Marvel! Great work, Silver!
