there's a beat in that thing
the claws they have not caught me
my feet they can still spring

can you see me in the rain?
they pound and haunt and shackle
but I've broken through the pain
Oh, G-d I'm searching for you
I'm crushed by the daily grind
slipping through cutting blades
your place to search and find
Oh, G-d I am alive!
alive! alive! alive!
not only do I hold it out
but look, oh G-d, I thrive!
