Furbaby
The story of a mother's love, and daily sacrifices you willingly make for a tiny life placed in your care, regardless of species

It's worn like a badge of honour
With a sense of motherly pride
It's become my favorite accessory
From your 'glitter' there's nowhere to hide
It's a symptom of loving you darling
Each smooch and each hug you bestow
You leave behind sprinkles of stardust
And I leave the house covered in snow
Though my world once looked a lot neater
My blacks black, and my bed hairfree
I exchanged that world for a better one
Full of love, fluff, fun, you and me
And I really don't mind all the cleaning
And I've always looked good in fur
It's worth every moment and sacrifice
When you curl up beside me and purr

The Rose
I have been writing poetry since a very young age. I don't usually share, but I thought I would get some of it out into the world.
