Full moon madness

The moon was full the night air cool

Walking in my garden the hair stood up on my neck

A cold chill I stood still letting the breeze flow through my gown

Rising I was heading towards the sky and powerless to stop it

Ghouls, fiends, and shadows passed by as if they did not see me

Up up higher I rose through the dark night into other dimensions

The stars were twinkling the planets aligned and the earth was far below

I was so close to the bright full moon I tried to reach out and grab it

which is when my rapid descent began

Falling arms flailing kicking screaming faster I crashed back down

Straight into a pond below I splashed

I tried holding my breath but it was no use

I resigned myself to die as lower I went

Somehow I was breathing underwater yet I could not swim

I woke abruptly and sat up straight in bed

gasping for air as I rubbed my head

It was only a dream I said as the full moon was shining through my widow
