Frozen in Time

Heartache

By Julia JacobsPublished 4 years ago 1 min read
Hope

As I sit today planning a future,

My heart appears to be stuck in the past.

As I sit today and realize my blessings,

My heart fills the pain of the cuts.

As I sit today wondering who I am,

My heart yearns for who I was.

As I sit today with anxious expectations,

My heart aches from the thought of nothing.

As I sit today frozen in time,

My heart knows Faith should override.

As I sit today I can not move,

My heart knows no direction.

As I sit today I can not breathe,

My heart only feels loss and suffocation.

As I sit today I wonder where is the door of escape,

My heart knows I have no power to open it.

As I sit today I can only cry,

My heart wants only to expire.

As I sit Frozen in Time.
